Dave Lawrence is the Chairperson.
Duties in this role: Chair Committee and Annual General Meeting. Provide a casting vote or defer a vote where required. Retention of right to force something I believe to be stupid to be reconsidered.
Further Duties: IT Committee - reports for Coding Group. System Committee - reports for Plot Group. Coding Group - website coding with James Magee. Plot group - plot writing and overall plot coordination.

Along with a few other members of the then City of London Polytechnic Role Playing Club, I took over the running of Mayfest when Creative Madness broke up and could no longer run it. Mayfest in those days had been the main festival for Dumnonnii Chronicles. Gradually the others from that club dropped out and I virtually ended up running the event single handed until 2005. Over 2005/6 other players have stepped up and started providing much more logistical support enabling me to step back to running the plot. Over 2006/7 we have formed a committee and given ourselves a sounder and safer base to run the festivals from.
I am chairperson by virtue of being the only organisor who has been running the event since we took over.
I am on the coding group as I have coded the current web pages. As James gets more of a feel for what we require I will be stepping back more from this and only providing background and plot stuff coded for him.
I am on the plot group because I have a vast experience here. Not only in the work I have done for Mayfest but also in the adventure plots I have written and run for other larp systems.
All these jobs require a lively imagination, an ability to keep going and the ability to extract ideas from others as well as providing moral support and general encouragement - all of which I have and can do.
